Brand Kits: What Does A Brand Kit Include?

What is included in a branding kit? These four things:

  1. Logos

  2. Icons

  3. Fonts

  4. Colors

With these four essential elements, you will be able to make your business or organization more recognizable and cohesive across all marketing materials. This is because these are the elements that you will use consistently.

Different Logos Within Brand Kits

Logos are the most recognizable and visible element of a brand kit. They provide a visual symbol that represents your brand. A good logo should be simple yet memorable and should be easily recognizable even when viewed in small sizes. Logos can take many forms, from text-based logos to icons to illustrations.

Within a brand kit, you can see different variations of your logo: such as your logo in different colors, different sizes, and maybe even different orientations. For example, here are two different versions of our logo:

Different ICONS Within Brand Kits

Icons are smaller graphic elements that are used to support the logo, communicate specific ideas, or highlight particular features. Icons can be simple, minimalist designs or more complex images that require detailed illustrations. One important icon would be the icon you would use as a favicon, which appears in your browser tab.

Below are some icons that we have in our own brand kit.

Different FONTS Within Brand Kits

Fonts are another critical component of a brand kit. They help establish a tone and personality for your brand, and they also help ensure consistency across all marketing materials. Fonts can be bold or delicate, modern or traditional, depending on the brand’s style and message.

Within our brand kit, we have three different fonts. One font we use for our headers, another we use for our paragraph text, and the last we use for other types of text. Many businesses can have three different fonts, but others only need two.

Different COLORS Within Brand Kits

Colors are also an essential element of a brand kit. They help convey emotions and set the tone for your brand’s message. Colors can be associated with different feelings or moods, so it is important to choose the right colors that align with your brand message. For example, blue is often associated with trust and stability, while red is often associated with excitement and passion.

How many colors you have depend on the business. For many, they have five colors. Others will have more or less depending on the brand identity they created.
